Sarah Berlanga

Experience

Ms. Sarah Ann Berlanga decided to pursue a career in Insurance Defense when she was involved in an automobile collision during her freshman year of college. She was sued, taken to trial, and won. Being a Defendant inspired her to attend St. Mary's University Law School and become an Attorney representing other people who share this experience. As a Certified Mediator and Semi-finalist of the Wayne and Maxine Scott Negotiation Competition, Ms. Berlanga is committed to resolving disputes fairly and amicably with a focus on her clients' experience. She has represented clients involved in automobile collisions, first-party actions, animal bites/attacks, slip and falls, and defamation. Ms. Berlanga joined Allen, Stein, and Durbin. P.C. in 2023.

Professional Activities and Memberships

Ms. Berlanga is a member of the State Bar of Texas, San Antonio Young Lawyer's Association, and the Bexar County Women's Bar.

Education

In 2017, Ms. Berlanga earned a Bachelors in Geology from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. In 2020, she earned her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary's University School of Law. While attending law school, she was 1 of 6 nationally selected Summer Legal Interns at Farmers Insurance where she then worked as a Paralegal until graduation. She was Co-Founder of the Society of Oil and Gas Students, a Chair on the Board of Advocates, and a Competitor on St. Mary's National Alternative Dispute Resolutions National Team. Ms. Berlanga was admitted to practice law in Texas in 2020.
