Robert A. Allen

Experience

Robert A. Allen, a founding shareholder of Allen, Stein & Durbin, has more than 35 years of trial experience and has tried more than 250 jury cases. Recent cases Mr. Allen has handled involve professional negligence, products liability, toxic tort, auto collisions, molestation, dram shop and insurance coverage issues. Mr. Allen has been given an "AV" Peer Review Rating by Martindale Hubbell Law Directory.

Professional Activities and Memberships

Mr. Allen is past president of the San Antonio Bar Association; a past director and member of the board of directors for the State Bar of Texas; past chair of the San Antonio Bar Foundation, and past chair of the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation.

Education

Mr. Allen received a B.A. in Economics from Arlington State University in 1966, and an L.L.B. from Baylor University School of Law in 1968, where he served as Associate Editor of the Baylor Law Review. While at Baylor, he received the James P. Alexander Memorial Award for making the high grade in "Practice Court." In 1968 he was admitted to practice law in Texas. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court, the Western District of Texas, U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 5th and 11th Circuits.

Publications

Mr. Allen has been a frequent speaker and contributor to programs and publications in various areas of tort litigation.
